United States Coast Guard (USCG) Random Testing

All Marine employers covered by the 49 CRT Title 46 Part 16.230 are required to establish a random testing program for drugs for any crewman designated as safety sensitive.  If you have questions on which employees need to be a part of the random pool, please ask one of our specialists.  The current rate for PHMSA random drug and alcohol testing is:

50% of the average number of covered crewmembers covered position for Federal 5-Panel (DOT urine) per year

Upon enrollment you will receive monthly or quarterly random list based off the information you set forth from the crewmember pool and will be sent a computer-generated random list and reminders mid quarter if you have fallen short of the goal for the designated timeframe.
